Oregon State pick Oakland Castlemont receiver

Washington visited Oregon State over the weekend for his official visit, having already named his top three choices as Oregon State, Arizona, and Cal. After the visit, he felt no need to explore other options and committed to the Beavers.

His decision was largely influenced by his strong relationship with coach Kefense Hynson and the coaching staff, who made him feel welcomed and supported. Upon arriving in Corvallis, he immediately felt at home, impressed by the warmth and the thorough answers to his questions about the school.

During a meeting with head coach Trent Bray and Hynson, Washington expressed his commitment to Oregon State, which they fully supported. The coaching staff’s vision for his role and development at the school played a significant role in his decision.

Washington’s family, including his father who is also his head coach, supported his choice. Despite the opportunity to stay close to home in the Bay Area, Washington was not swayed by distance and opted for Oregon State.

He plans to enroll early at Oregon State and is relieved to have made his decision so he can now focus on improving his skills and preparing for the upcoming season.

Ranked as a three-star athlete by industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, Washington is considered the 102nd nationally and the 90th prospect in California for the 2025 class.
