BREAKING NEWS: Oregon State secures another impressive commitment from Northern California defensive lineman

Oregon State has secured a commitment from Jesse Myers, a defensive lineman from Santa Rosa’s Cardinal Newman High School.

During his official visit to Oregon State last weekend, Myers expressed his enthusiasm about the experience. “The visit was great, we all had a great time with the coaches and the area,” he said. Myers particularly admired Corvallis, noting, “I loved the beautiful campus and facilities. The community surrounding the team left a great impression on me, and the facilities were very nice, either new or well-maintained.”

Myers also spoke highly of the Oregon State coaching staff, especially coaches Ilaisa Tuiaki and Trent Bray. “The conversations were thorough and honest. We discussed where I fit into their scheme and my role on the team,” Myers added.

During his visit, Myers was hosted by Kouny Deng and mingled with other players and recruits, including Brian Tapu from New Zealand and Nathan Nyandoro.

Rated as a three-star recruit in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Myers is ranked No. 98 nationally among edge rushers and No. 109 overall in California. According to 247Sports, he is ranked as the No. 117 edge rusher in the country and the No. 133 player in California for the 2025 class.
