Following a challenging financial season, Nottingham Forest appear poised to pursue a young talent they’ve had their eye on for some time. Reports from the City Ground indicate their interest in signing Archie Stevens from Rangers, a promising 18-year-old winger who is also attracting attention from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester United, and West Ham United, potentially sparking a bidding war.
Also on Nuno Espírito Santo’s radar is Bradley Locko, the 22-year-old left-back from Stade Brestois valued at £17 million. With numerous Premier League clubs also vying for his signature, Forest could face tough competition once again.
Adding to their list of targets is 17-year-old striker Riquelme Fillipi, for whom Forest has reportedly made a formal offer just above £4 million. Clearly prioritizing young talent this summer, Forest are renewing their pursuit of promising prospects.
According to Football Insider’s Wayne Veysey, Forest is preparing a fresh offer for Celtic forward Rocco Vata. Sources suggest that previous bids from Forest were rebuffed by Celtic, underscoring their determination to secure the services of the highly-regarded 19-year-old winger.
Football Insider also mentions interest in Vata from Watford and Bologna, potentially explaining Forest’s urgency to finalize a deal promptly.
Despite Vata’s high regard at Parkhead, his opportunities in the first team have been limited. He managed just three minutes in league play last season but impressed with 12 goals in 15 appearances for the Celtic B team.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers acknowledged Vata’s talent but hinted at uncertainty over his future, emphasizing the importance of regular game time for the young winger’s development.
While Rodgers praised Vata’s potential, he stopped short of promising more playing time, suggesting that the 19-year-old’s desire for regular first-team action could influence his decision to move to Forest this summer.
