JUST IN: Gophers comfirm the departure of their key star on second day of NBA draft

Gophers freshman guard Cam Christie made the NBA a family affair on Thursday by joining his brother in the same league and city. The Clippers chose Christie with the 46th overall pick, following his brother Max Jr.’s selection by the Lakers two years earlier.

“It means a great deal,” Christie remarked during the NBA draft broadcast after his selection. “It’s really special to be NBA brothers. It’s incredible.”

Christie, a 6-6 guard recognized for his shooting prowess, has signed a four-year contract with the Clippers, as confirmed by his agent. He expressed gratitude to his brother for guiding him in basketball.
